bringing drinks to life

Well, it's been a long (LONG!) time coming but finally the first phase of my project is coming to life. For the next few weeks the b&t website will be acting as a blog while we work our arses off behind the scenes to build the website and the database to support it.

Oh wait... I'm getting ahead of myself! I forgot that lots of you probably have no idea what bitters & twisted is. Sorry about that, it is just that I have been thinking about it, developing it, refining the idea etc. for so long that I sometimes forget that I haven't been telling people about it.

Ok, so what is bitters & twisted? well phase one is a website about cocktails and spirits. We are aiming to talk to both consumers and bartenders. The principle behind b&t is to make every drinking experience a good one. We will be encouraging people to make cocktails at home, showing them how easy it can be to do, dispelling a few myths and giving them a few tips along the way. We will also be trying to help get people to have a better drinking experience when they are out and about, we might recommend a few bars, we will certainly highlight a few of the best bartenders we know, and we will give our tips for having a great drinking experience every time.

Anyway, that's enough bleating on from me! bitters & twisted aims to bring drinks to life, we hope to break down a few of the barriers between consumers, bartenders and brands, and if we get things right then hopefully create a new way for bartenders and consumers to communicate.

Well, I had better get back to work as I still have 1,000's of brands and drinks to enter into our database.

If you are a brand owner or ambassador drop me a line as we are in the process of adding brands, history, signature serves etc. and cross referencing them to our drinks database. Give me the details of your brand and make sure I am saying all the right things ; )

Oh and if anyone has any ideas about what you would want from the worlds first truly comprehensive cocktails and spirits website please speak up. After all I am making this site for you!
