You may have gathered that I have not been blogging as much as I promised... firstly my apologies for that but here in my defense New Orleans during Tales of the Cocktail is a crazy place! this is my fourth day and I think I have had about 7 hours sleep so far. At every turn there is someone you know, somewhere to go or a party that you just have to attend!
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
So now that I have made my excuses, here is a preview of what's to come over the next couple of days when I finally get to catch up on my sleep and get to sit down with my computer for more than 20 minutes! Sarah, Steve and I have attended about 30 seminars and events, taken a fist full of notes on each one and we will be taking it in turns to write up our notes while one of us drives us up to Kentucky and Tennessee. We have been out drinking out every night checking out the local bar scene, and as you will see from the picture on the left there are some local drinking traditions that are worth reporting on! This is a picture of the cafe broulot being prepared for us last night at French 75. We have caught up with friends and met new ones (there is nothing like four days of drinking to get you a whole new load of friends!) and we have tried to drink in the spirit of both this event and the wonderful city it is held in!
So now I should get back to Tales of the Cocktail... I figure you will forgive me for jumping in feet first to this event and experiencing it to its fullest. It means that you will have to wait for any in depth updates but will get so much more when I finally do get rested and get some time in front of my mac.
Oh and if you are over here in New Orleans and see me in the rooftop pool at the hotel Monteleone I am networking not avoiding work!
